We have a new doc! He supports VBAC!
We received great news this morning. The ob/gyn in Ellsworth has reviewed my records and has agreed to take me on as patient! Our first appointment with him is next Friday. Will post updates here.

Dear Angela–
SILENT KNIFE has some great suggestions for establishing a birth plan with your doctor in advance (very important). Some docs say they’re pro-VBAC, but then require that you be hooked up to an IV, fetal monitor, etc. the whole time (which can really mess up the labor process, not to mention your perception of pain, and often so compromise the whole process that you end up having another C-section). I used the info in SILENT KNIFE to get a birth plan approved before my first VBAC (I had my second and third VBACs at home)–and I was VERY glad I did. Blessings!–Carol
