I spent a summer long ago in East Machias...in a haunted house. Me,two kids,three sheep, one dog and two horses drove up from N.Y. Quite an adventure out of which came a poem. The most delicious pie ever was gratefully indulged in at Machias. Fond memories of Bar Harbour and Cadillac mtn. You forgot to do one thing which I think WOULD induce labor: swim in the ICEY ocean at the harbour! Gee,sounds great(the trip to Bar Harbor…Not NOT “”going into labor”:you did your utmost.
