Only High Fevers Need Medicine

I’ve always known fevers are a body’s way of fighting infection and I never understood why any individual (or parent) would want to use a fever reducer the counteract the body’s natural defense. A few years ago, I told our pediatrician that I don’t give our children any fever reducer unless their temperature gets ABOVE 103. She said I was doing the right thing.

An article on CNN today, “Parents, don’t fear all fevers, pediatricians say“, further promotes this practice.
